Adeline (A-deh-leen) Newmann is an interdisciplinary artist and immersive experience designer engaged with drawing, animation, installation, XR/extended reality and creative technology.

Her practice integrates projection mapping, illumination, light and play to excavate tangled histories and stories about public health, medicine, feminism, mortality, economics, deep time and ecologies.

Adeline has a BFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts and an MFA in Studio Art from Michigan State University. Her background includes art, film, design, music, theater and video media design/VFX design for themed entertainment. She is a “third culture kid” currently based in Idaho.

Adeline’s creative work has been screened, exhibited and performed nationally and internationally, including at Tallinn Music Week, Estonian Music Days, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, REDCAT, the wulf., Zipper Hall, Pueblo Film Festival, (SCENE)Metrospace, The MSU Museum, The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, Lansing ArtPath7 and The Grand Rapids Art Museum.
